After High
School I went to Brigham Young University, and majored in anything but acting.
However in the middle of it all, I was asked to do a play, and knew that was
what I really wanted to do.
So, I left college and went to Phoenix where my mother had moved. I worked in
Phoenix for a large Hardware Wholesale Warehouse, moving from stock boy to Assistant
Credit Manager, while doing some community and professional theater, until 1978
when I auditioned for the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and was accepted.
After the Academy I worked for Bank America Credit Card division starting as an
authorizer, and becoming a collection supervisor and field collector (Repoman.)
While doing this I acted in theater in Los Angeles.
Having had enough of the negatives of collecting, I became a Singing Waiter, and
did TV and movies as they came up. I also worked in many cities around the
country on weekends doing live 30 minute commercials for a business opportunity.
I met my wife Alana at the restaurant and we were married in 1996, we are
separated now.
Tired of waiting tables I took some classes in Typing, and computer programs so
I could work as a temp. After finishing I was hired by the School as an
administrative assistant full time. I was asked to learn some more programs and
create a website. Other non-profit agencies starting asking me to develop and
create websites for them, and in 1999 I was asked to develop an Internet
department and maintain the Information Systems for a Ford dealership owned by
my brother Brian and his wife Peggy and her sister, in Orange, California.
With all this I still audition and do theater, TV and movies. And in October of
2002 I went to Sweden to make a commercial which you can see on my website
www.wraiser.com, and the
play Pinafore that I did from September of 2001 to May of 2002 won the "Best
Musical of 2001" in Los Angeles along with us winning "Best Musical Ensemble"
The play was asked to come to New York City in August 2003 to perform at the
Fringe Festival....We were awarded best production.
I have
commercials running in Europe for Tele2 a telecommunications company in
which I have a recurring role as "Big Bill", I also did a music video for "MIDTOWN"
- the song is Give it Up!
I sold my home in West Hollywood
and
currently live in Long Beach, with a dog, 2 cats, 2 fish, and 2 parakeets.
