I left
California in January 1986 in a motor home and traveled to 35 states and 5
provinces in Canada for 10 months. Landed in Orlando Florida.
I sold cellular phones successfully for 4 years, then met my current husband who
was transferred from Atlanta to my store in Orlando as GM. We started dating,
decided to move to Georgia to meet his family. Got married during my 1991
family reunion in Sacramento, tried for 5 years to carry a full term pregnancy,
then finally, at 40 had a beautiful son.
Mom and Dad moved in with us immediately, we were transferred to Ohio briefly,
then to West Virginia for 3 years, then back to Columbus, Georgia where we hope
to stay indefinitely. My husband, Steve, is District Manager for Verizon
Cellular in Southwestern Georgia, Southeastern Alabama, and Panama City,
Florida.
Our son is heavily involved in hockey. Steve and I started a youth ice hockey
league last year and expect 200 kids to join this year. Cant believe how much
I love Hockey.
Maybe I can get back to California someday. I still have lots of relatives
there and would love to see my old friends.
We are very happy and very busy!
