Barbara
Ann Dickey

Sadly,
Barbara's life ended in 1977 at the age of 21.
Preceded in death by her mother who was killed by a drunk driver in
Barbara's youth,
Barbara is survived by her sister, Elaine (Cordova '75) & her brother, Clifford (Cordova '79).
During her school years, Barbara was the first to start the trend of wearing Cowboy & Combat Boots
with skirts and dresses -- a trend that didn't catch on with the rest of the world until the '80's!
And, a little known fact ... Barbara received great grades in school and never cracked a book! (Her IQ was higher than most!)
Barbara left letters to her family and asked that at her funeral they play this music for her:
"Diamonds & Rust" (Joan Baez)
"Dark Side of the Moon" (Album: Pink Floyd)
"Someone Saved My Life Tonight" & "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" (Elton John)
"Stairway To Heaven" (Led Zeppelin).
So, if you should hear one of these songs ... think of Barbara, picture her in your mind and remember her with love.
Her memory stays with us forever!
